Silicon Valley Cycling Foundation (“SVCF”) is a 501c3 non-profit that was created in 2006 with the primary objective of raising money to support the development of women identified as potential top international athletes. The talent development process in cycling spans much of the formative life of an endurance athlete. The resources required to support this process are significant and can prevent athletes from achieving their potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SVCF was founded by Linda Jackson, a former Olympic competitor in cycling (1996 Games in Atlanta), and World Championship Bronze medal holder (1996, Lugano Switzerland). Linda was a top international cyclist throughout her cycling career that spanned from 1993 through 1999. \u00a0SVCF has been instrumental\u00a0in the careers of dozens of American\u00a0cyclists over the past two decades.\u00a0 Athletes\u00a0are identified\u00a0early\u00a0in their careers, and are provided with the resources\/programs they need to develop into the next generation of top international female cyclists.\u00a0Lauren Stephens for example was given an SVCF grant in 2013 at the start of her career, she won the U.S national championships in 2021 and raced for the U.S in numerous world championships.\u00a0\u00a0
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linda also holds an M.B.A from Stanford University(1988) that brings substantial business experience to the Foundation. Jackson donates her time to the Foundation and conducts all of the fundraising efforts herself, enabling close to 100% of the Foundation\u2019s revenues to go directly to the athletic programs the Foundation supports.<\/p>\n\n\n
